Early on Friday, December 27, police responded to a 911 call at the home of Hallmark star Marc Blucas, Dayle’s son-in-law, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, they found a 76-year-old man unconscious on the first floor. He was rushed to the hospital, where he is receiving treatment. A woman, later identified as Dayle, was discovered deceased in a second-floor bedroom.

The police investigation revealed that a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak. Two medics were hospitalized for exposure, and one police officer was treated at the scene.

Dayle was a trailblazer in the fashion industry, signing contracts with major cosmetic companies like Revlon, Max Factor, Estée Lauder, and L’Oréal.
